Meet Cleopatra!

Cleo is an absolutely stunning 12-18 month old female, purebred Cane Corso Mastiff. She currently weighs about 85 lbs. but needs to pack on another 10 lbs. This blue beauty was brought to the shelter with a prolapsed vulva.

Her owner wanted her to be “fixed” so that she could still have puppies that he could sell. Miraculously, the shelter woman was able to convince her owner to surrender her over, and she immediately reached out to us for help.

This poor girl was in so much discomfort, but fortunately just had surgery to correct her condition and she was spayed at the same time. She is also now up to date on shots.

Miss Cleo is SWEET, SWEET, SWEET. She seems to be fine with other dogs and the cats in the veterinary office scared her. And with people – forget it! She loves to roll over for belly rubs and soak in all the love she can get. She’s a submissive girl and really just a big baby.

UPDATE ON MONA - SHE'S READY FOR ADOPTION!

UPDATE 10/20/09: Mona is ready for adoption!!

Mona is a 10-month old pit bull mix puppy who came to us in dire need in late August. Her leg was swollen and bruised, and our veterinarian suspected someone struck her leg with a baseball bat or similar object. After approximately $2000 in leg surgeries and a month or so of restricted activity, Mona’s leg has finally healed and she is ready to go! She has also been spayed and is up to date on all shots.

Mona is a gorgeous red-nosed pit bull terrier, who is only about 45 lbs. full grown. She looks much bigger in her pictures, but is really only of medium size. She is a high energy dog with a high play drive, she LOVES to run around and whip around the yard. Although she is not good with cats, she could live with another active dog.
