FAWN IS FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE!

Our sweet Fawn is a 9-week old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix puppy currently fighting for her life. Please keep this sweet baby in your thoughts and prayers.

At approximately 3pm this afternoon, Fawn was brought into a local shelter by good Samaritans who found her dropped off on their front porch. She was extremely lethargic and not eating. The shelter vet immediately looked her over and she tested positive for canine parvovirus, a serious and often fatal disease of puppies that attacks the gastrointestinal system.

The shelter immediately contacted us for help, and within hours this adorable puppy was transferred into our care. She is currently staying in isolation at our veterinary hospital, receiving emergency care and IV fluids. Despite how sick she is, she is still able to pick her head up and you can see that ‘look’ in her eyes. A look of gratefulness, of appreciation, a thank you for saving me.

Please keep our sweet puppy in your thoughts and prayers. She is fighting hard for her life and everyone is hoping she will pull through. As an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Pet Rescue of Mercer relies heavily on your donations to continue saving lives. If you would like to make a donation towards saving Fawn, contributions can be made online through our website www.petrescueofmercer.org or mailed directly to us at Pet Rescue of Mercer, P.O. Sassy needs leg surgery!

Sassy is a 7-8 month old JRT/chihuahua mix waiting for her big break in life. She was born with a deformed right front paw which she is unable to use, and her owners were going to have her euthanized merely because of her leg. A kind woman bought Sassy for $25 to save her from this slated death and reached out to us for help.

Sassy is currently staying at our veterinary hospital where her leg will have to be amputated. It currently drags on the ground and she is unable to use it at all. Without it, she won't be weighed down and will be able to run and freely like other puppies.

Sassy weighs only 9 pounds and is extremely sweet. She loves to be held and give tiny puppy kisses. She is a little shy, but you can tell she warms up quickly from the little wags of her tail. She gets along great with both other dogs and cats.

Sassy's vet bills are projected to be over $1200 and we are asking for your help in funding this necessary surgery for sweet Sassy. As an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Pet Rescue of Mercer relies heavily on your donations to continue saving lives. We desperately need your support for Sassy. Contributions can be made online through our website www.petrescueofmercer.org or mailed directly to us at Pet Rescue of Mercer, P.O. Box 2574, Hamilton, NJ 08690.
